The XBOX ONE

Maybe I am naive for thinking this,  but I am going to give XBOX ONE the benefit of the doubt.  E3 is coming up,  they did say they were going to come out with multiple consoles (One aimed at a wider audience, and one for the more hardcore gamers).  So is it possible at ALL, that this was the one aimed to sell to a broader fan-base?   I will unlike many others, will wait till E3 to decide between the PS4 or the XBOX ONE.
